Student-NM

A dozen or so National Student Championships are held in various sports every year.
Most Student Championships are held during the Student Games, which take place twice a year, in the fall and spring.
In addition to the sports organized during the Student Games, individual Student World Championships are held in selected sports to complete the offer.

Participation

Members of clubs belonging to the Norwegian Student Sports Federation are eligible to compete if they can present a valid student ID.
A participant can only be eligible to compete for one team in one sport in each Student-NM.

Atall student championships,the organizing club and the reigning student national champion are directly eligible.

Ifthere are not enough students to fill the places with the maximum number of participants, the team can be completed with own members who are not students.

The proportion of athletes who are not students may not exceed 25% of the total permitted participants per team in the relevant team sport.
In Individual sports with team competition, where teams consist of a minimum of three athletes, one (1) non-student who is a member of the team may participate.

Teamsconsisting of students from two or more student sports teams registered with NSI are eligible to compete, but participate out of competition.
Teams participating out of competition will have their results from the group stage deleted.
These teams will not be placed in the championship and will not be able to compete for a medal in team games.

Norwegianstudents abroad are eligible to compete, but do not participate in the competition.
They will not be placed in the championship and cannot compete for medals in team games.
Nor can they apply for a travel allocation.
