The Norwegian Student Sports Association’s handling of personal data is based on the following privacy principles:

  • The processingof personal data shall be based on the fact that the processing is necessary to handle the membership or office, the Norwegian Student Sports Association’s legitimate interest, consent or other legal basis.
  • All processing of personal data must take place in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations at all times, and in a way that is balanced with regard to the data subject.
  • Personal data shall only be collected for specified purposes and these must be legitimate.
    Personal data shall only be processed to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose.
    Personal data must be relevant, accurate and complete for the purpose for which it is to be used.
  • The data subject shall have the right to be informed about the collection and use of their data Data Processor shall secure the data against unauthorized access, modification, destruction and dissemination
  • The handling of sensitive personal data must be subject to particularly strict procedures.
  • All registration of personal data must be justified.
    If it is not necessary to register identifying information, the individual has the right to remain anonymous.

This privacy policy provides information about what personal data is collected, how it is collected and what rights you have when personal data about you is registered with us.

Processing of personal data

In general, the Norwegian Student Sports Federation processes the following personal data:

  • Name, date of birth, citizenship, gender, photo, address, phone number, email address and personal ID
  • courses/competence
  • roles and offices
  • Club affiliation linked to competition activity;

The Norwegian Student Sports Federation may also collect and process health information related to activities organized by the Federation.
At courses, events, trips, etc. organized by the Norwegian Student Sports Federation, there will often be a need to collect information about the participants’ state of health or other sensitive personal data in order to facilitate all activities.
This is particularly relevant where food will be served and information about e.g. allergies or religious beliefs is registered for the sake of the individual.
